Ashley Hernandez is a local business owner, community advocate, and longtime resident of Keller who believes leadership starts with showing up.
With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, Ashley has built and scaled multiple businesses, creating jobs, supporting families, and navigating real-world challenges alongside the people she now seeks to represent. She is the co-founder of Kickin’ It Media Group and the voice behind Kickin’ It in Keller, a thriving community platform that has spent years spotlighting local businesses, sharing stories, and connecting thousands of residents.
Ashley’s commitment to Keller goes beyond business. She has served on the City of Keller’s Economic Development Board, working alongside city staff and council to support responsible growth while preserving the character that makes Keller special. She has also been actively involved in community initiatives, local events, and small business advocacy, consistently working to strengthen the connection between residents, leadership, and opportunity.
Her campaign is rooted in a simple belief: the best decisions are made when leaders are present, accessible, and listening. Ashley represents a voice for families, small business owners, and everyday residents who want to be heard and included in the future of Keller.
She is running for City Council to bring a fresh perspective grounded in real experience, thoughtful planning, and a deep commitment to the community she calls home.
Supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses is a top priority for me because local businesses help shape Keller’s identity, create jobs, and keep our community strong. My focus is on making Keller a city where small businesses can start, grow, and stay — with clear processes, practical support, and better visibility of existing resources. That includes strengthening our approach to small business attraction and retention, improving communication around programs and opportunities, and keeping Old Town Keller a thriving place where local entrepreneurs can succeed.
Supporting urban revitalization and redevelopment means investing in the parts of Keller that already have strong bones — like Old Town — reducing barriers for the right local businesses, and encouraging projects that strengthen property values and long-term quality of life. Done well, revitalization preserves Keller’s character while creating vibrant places where residents can gather and small businesses can thrive.
Utilizing technology for improved government services means making it easier for residents and businesses to get answers, complete requests, and stay informed—without unnecessary steps or confusion. My focus is on practical upgrades that improve speed, transparency, and communication: clearer online information, simpler permitting and application processes, better status updates for service requests, and modern tools that help the City respond efficiently. The goal is a city experience that feels user-friendly, consistent, and accessible for everyone.
